The University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) is meant to both service the needs of the undergraduate student community and actively govern all relevant aspects of student life across the main campus of the Pennsylvania State University.

As the central student government, the UPUA is meant to serve as a vehicle for the empowerment of the collective student voice, representing the will of the undergraduate population and ensuring that the wishes of the student body are appropriately enacted through their elected student representatives in the UPUA Assembly, similar in structure to the federal government of the United States of America.
