Dear University Park Undergraduate Students,

Your student government is supposed to work for you. It should be representative and accountable: the two most important descriptions to which any government must live up. As an at-large representative for the Spring 2008 semester I have always voted with student interest in mind. I pushed for our interests and our opinions. In serving the student body for a second term I will, once again, make my focus two-fold:

  • Be accountable to the students: Devise ways to hear your voice whether it be criticism, compliments, ideas, innovations, problems, or questions—we will work together to implement and maintain a constant flow of open communication between you, the constituents, and myself.
  • Represent student interest: I am the voice of you, the student body, not the decider of student interest. With increased communication, I can bring your interests and innovations to the UPUA general assembly and work hard to make sure that University Park life is improved for all students attending.

No idea is too wild, and no dream is too lofty. Real representation, real progress, real results—trust me with your vote, I’ll make it happen.

Sincerely,
Samantha Miller
