- Keeping people involved in campus organizations when they move off campus
- Developing a better off-campus meal plan
The two main things that I hope to change about campus are keeping people involved in campus organizations when the move off-campus and developing a better off-campus meal plan. Currently, when people move out of the dorms they will often stop being involved with clubs on-campus. I feel that steps need to taken to keep these people involved and feeling like they’re a big part of campus rather than just someone who takes classes there. My goal is to find out exactly why people decide to stop being involved and then make the changes needed to keep them involved.
The second major problem on campus is that off-campus students are facing is the lack of really good off-campus meal plans. With all the time that we spend on campus between classes, many of us like to eat in the commons once in awhile with our on-campus friends. Right now the only way to do that is to spend a fortune paying for a meal with cash or Lioncash, or spend thousands of dollars buying a meal plan. There needs to be a way that we can eat in the commons once in awhile without spending a fortune doing it.
