In addition, this Monday, March 2nd will be the grand opening for the newly renovated portion of the HUB-Robeson Center. The event will start at 11:00 a.m. and will conclude around 4:00 p.m. Both the Trustee Town Hall Panel and grand opening are free and open to the public.

The Penn State Sexual Violence Awareness Week will be held during April 6-10 with varying events to spread awareness of this omnipresent issue and support the survivors of such attacks. In conjunction with the Inter-Fraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, Graduate and Professional Student Association, and Student Athlete Advisory Board, the UPUA will help with the funding of the week. Included in this funding, Bill 12-09 will fund a keynote speaker, Jasmin Enriquez, and “Only Do It With Consent” t-shirts.

Following this piece of legislation, the Assembly moved into a Work Session where each committee met to discuss their plans and goals for the rest of the 9th assembly. Following the work session, the committees gave their respective reports and individuals gave comments for the good of the order. Most notable, Schreyer Honors College Representative Michael Mancini announced that speaking at this year’s Shaping the Future Summit will be Magic Johnson. Tickets to see Magic Johnson speak at Eisenhower Auditorium on April 1st will be free to students and will go on sale on March 18th.
