President McKay Announces His Nominee for Executive Director of Health and Wellness

STATE COLLEGE, PA – Today, President McKay announced his intent to nominate Hadya (Hady) Truesdail to be Executive Director of the Health and Wellness Department. 

On nominating Truesdail, President McKay said: “I am excited about the passion which Hady brings to the table. Her desire to help those around her become the best they can be and her commitment to bettering students’ mental and emotional health will undoubtedly help her tremendously as she takes on this role. I am confident Hady will lead the new Department—and the UPUA—well, and will enable the student government to gain more comprehensive research on and consistently promote resources about areas of students’ health and wellness at University Park and beyond.”

On being nominated for the Executive Director of Health and Wellness, Hady Truesdail said: “I am very excited to accept the nomination of Executive Director of Mental Health and Wellness. Having this new Department within the Executive Branch is going to allow for a lot of advocacy and awareness. I am looking forward to bringing new ideas and resources to UPUA and students.”

Hady Truesdail Bio

Hady Truesdail is a sophomore in the Liberal Arts College majoring in Psychology and Criminology with a minor in Economics. Outside of the classroom, she is involved in AKPsi as the Special Events Chair and Days for Girls. In her free time, she enjoys running, knitting, and the Bachelor/Bachelorette.
