SUBJ: Join Me Today in Supporting Penn State!
I’m reaching out to encourage you to participate in this year’s virtual Advocate Penn State Capital Day!
Capital Day is Penn State’s largest single-day advocacy event in which everyone can help support Penn State by talking with legislators in the Pennsylvania State Legislature. While I wish we could travel together to Harrisburg for our in-person rally in the rotunda, this year’s virtual format makes participating in Capital Day easier and quicker than ever before.
Student participation matters because our state legislators want to hear how their funding helps our student experience, including creating a more affordable education and expanding the world class academic programs the university can offer.
To join me in participating, simply visit advocate.psu.edu to contact your state legislator, and tell why you love Penn State and why we are worth funding — that’s it! Your story could have incredibly positive results on the outcome of our next state appropriation, meaning a more affordable education for all.
I’ll be contacting my elected officials today to express my support for the University and my ask for increased state funding, and I hope you’ll join me in doing the same!
For the Glory,
Student Body President
