UPUALogo

Today’s the Day!

Today is Election Day for the University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) — your student government! Until 9:00pm today, you’ll have the chance to vote for your next Student Body President, Student Body Vice President, At-Large Representatives, and Academic College Representatives.

You’ll also have the chance to vote in a referendum question regarding university divestment from fossil fuels — it’ll be on your electronic ballot.

To learn about the candidates and VOTE visit vote.psu.edu.

When voting, click the “How to Vote” button and follow the steps listed. Polls are open until 9:00 PM.

The students elected to these Offices will represent you to the administration, the Board of Trustees, local and state governments, and to the public — they are YOUR voice! Some of these candidates will even be responsible for allocating millions of your Student Fee Dollars and appointing students to University committees and boards. By working with university administrators and the UPUA’s Executive Departments, these individuals will be responsible for pushing for changes you want to see on campus and in the State College community.

The UPUA works on initiatives to improve your academic experience, enhance facilities on campus, strengthen relationships with local, state and federal government officials, put on programming weeks that bring awareness to issues such as sexual violence awareness and prevention, mental health and wellness and are advocates for justice and equity campus wide.

This is a time to make your voice heard on campus and to ensure that YOU are represented in YOUR student government here at Penn State. Make the most of it by visiting vote.psu.edu and voting today.

Be sure to send any questions to the UPUA Elections Commission at psuelectionscommission@gmail.com, or by tweeting them at @UPUA_Elections.

For the Glory,

Zachary McKay
Student Body President
