President McKay Announces His Nominee for Executive Director of Rights and Equity

STATE COLLEGE, PA – Today, President McKay announced his intent to nominate Rene Richardson to be Executive Director of the Rights and Equity Department.
On nominating Richardson, President McKay said: “Rene is by far the most qualified individual I can possibly imagine holding this role. His strength in the Department of Sustainability — and now Rights and Equity — have shown time and time again, I am confident that that same confidence and support for his team will resonate throughout the Department with him at the helm. Rene is a go-getter, a self-starter, and has a really bright future ahead of him.”
On being nominated for the Executive Director of Rights and Equity, Rene Richardson said: “I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve as the Executive Director of Rights and Equity within the UPUA! There are a lot of ideas and projects geared towards helping students that I am excited to get started on. I hope to help make Penn State more inclusive and equitable for all.”
Rene Richardson Bio
Rene Richardson is a sophomore in the Integrated Masters of Accounting Program in the Smeal College of Business. He is involved in THON as an entertainment captain and as a volunteer for Atlas. Rene is also a member of the Transforming Education Steering Committee and meets with the Office of Educational Equity to help address current issues in our Penn State Community. He enjoys playing music in the Pep Band, working out, and traveling.
