Community Group Seat Applications

Any RSO (Registered Student Organization) at the Pennsylvania State University may apply for a Community Group Seat within the UPUA (University Park Undergraduate Association). A Community Group Seat, or Community Group Representative, is any undergraduate student who wishes to serve as a UPUA Representative of any RSO to which they belong. RSOs may only have one Community Group Representative officially represent them as a UPUA Representative in the General Assembly.

**Undergraduate Students interested in serving as the Community Group Representative for a community of which they are a member should contact that organization’s Executive Board to express their interest.**

The Judicial Board of the UPUA reviews all Community Group Seat applications. In order to be granted a community group seat, RSOs must meet specific eligibility requirements outlined on the application, which can be found here.

THE JUDICIAL BRANCH

The Judicial Board of the UPUA works to adjudicate disputes within the UPUA and review governing documents. Members of the Judicial Board — known as Justices — are also responsible for facilitating the UPUA’s annual elections as a member of the Elections Commission each Spring. Members of the Judicial Board are nominated by the UPUA President and confirmed by the General Assembly of Student Representatives.

The Board meets whenever necessary, typically weekly or biweekly. Attendance at weekly General Assembly meetings is not required, but highly encouraged.

  • Judicial Clerks (6). Apply here.
